Keeping Cool At Disney

We all know it is hot in Central Florida! Here are my tips for keeping cool while in hopping around the parks!

  1. Drink Water – I don’t care if you buy water bottles, bring reusable bottles or get free water from food stands just drink water. It is so important to stay hydrated. You don’t even realize you’re dehydrated until it’s too late. Don’t wait until your thirsty to get a drink, it means your body doesn’t have enough water! Keep your drink close by, refill it often and choose water over soda or tea.
  2. Wear a hat – Disney does a good job of having shady areas to sit and rest, but the shade is limited in walkways and sometimes in queues. Wear a hat to keep the sun off your face and neck. This will keep your overall body temperature regulated. If your feeling like a hat is a hindering your fashion sense, there are so many hand-made Disney themed headgear options to choose from, just check Instagram!
  3. Sit Down – It is exciting to be in the parks. Don’t let that excitement take a toll on your body! There are benches all around, take advantage. When stopping for a meal, sit a little longer than regular. Bathroom break? Turn it in to a sitting break (bench break, not toilet!) Don’t want to ride with your family? Let them wait in line while you relax. It is important to rest in the shade to give your body a chance to recharge.
  4. Go inside – There are many attractions that are shows or movies. These are perfect opportunities to sit down in air conditioning! Also, Disney sets up most of their shops to connect, which means you can walk along the main drag and walk inside! Just remember, merchandise is so temping!
Japan
Staying cool by stopping by Japan and trying on a Kimono! Fortunately, or unfortunately, I did not buy this Kimono.

Do you have a special way you stay cool while in the parks? Let me know!

See ya real soon!
